5MM collection by Rubinetterie Treemme has won the ADI Compasso D’Oro Award

Treemme Rubinetterie, Tuscan company which has always proposed highly innovative and avant-garde products, has obtained another important prize: the prestigious ADI Compasso D’Oro award, this year at its 24th edition.

The winning project is 5MM.  Designed by Marco Fagioli, Emanuel Gargano and Ing. Castagnoli, 5MM is one of the company’s top collections and it is able to blend innovative appearance and sustainable design. Five millimeters is the thickness of  every component of the tap, from the control levers to the water flow but also internally during the passage in all its dynamics of mixing. A technology studied down to the finest detail which ensures a high attention to sustainibility and water saving.

This is another success for 5 MM! Over the years this project has in fact won the DESIGN PLUS in 2013 and the GERMAN DESIGN AWARD, ADI INDEX, GRANDESIGN ETICO and RED DOT DESIGN AWARD in 2014.

The Compasso d’Oro panel of judges, which gives the award after a pre-selection by ADI permanent Observatory of Design, has assigned 13 prizes and 56 honorable mentions.

Thanks to thisaward - which has been assigned for the first time to a product in the tap bathroom fittings sector - 5MM will be part of the Compasso d’Oro ADI collection, declared “of exceptional historic and artistic interest” by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities: an attestation of the growing success of Treemme Rubinetterie.

The winning projects are displayed at Palazzo Isimbardi, in corso Monforte, 35 in Milan, at an open exhibition until the 22nd June 2016. Along with the exhibition, there will be a series of meeting and events that promote and spread the quality and the culture of design.
